Delete your account and data

You can request deletion of your Snaplet account and any associated data at any time. We delete your personal data within 30 days of receiving your request, in accordance with GDPR.

Two ways to request deletion

1. Directly in the app (recommended)

  1. Sign in to app.snaplet.dk
  2. Go to Settings → Profile
  3. Click "Request account deletion"
  4. Confirm via the email link sent to your registered address

2. By email

If you can't access the app, you can write to [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion" from the email address your account is registered with. We respond within 48 hours on business days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (name, email, password hash, settings)
  • All your events and associated QR codes
  • All photos and videos uploaded to your events (including from guests)
  • Push token and notification preferences
  • Login history and device sessions

What gets anonymised (not deleted)

To comply with the Danish bookkeeping act (5-year retention requirement) we keep the following in anonymised form (without personally identifiable information):

  • Invoice information for paid events (VAT no., amount, date — no name/email)
  • Stripe payment intent IDs (anonymised)

Timeline

  • 0-48 hours: We receive and confirm your request
  • 0-7 days: Your account and events are closed
  • 0-30 days: All personal data is deleted from our systems and backups

Undo the request

Once you've requested deletion, you have a 7-day window to undo it by signing in again and clicking "Undo deletion" in your profile settings. After 7 days the request is final.
