Show guest photos live on a screen
With Snaplet's live gallery, photos appear continuously on a screen during the event. When guests upload new photos, they appear automatically, creating life and engagement in the room.
What is a live gallery?
A live gallery is a display of your event gallery on an external screen. Photos are shown automatically in full screen as they're uploaded by guests.
The gallery updates continuously without you having to do anything. New photos come in automatically, and the display runs on a loop.
You can show the live gallery on a TV, projector or any other external screen using a computer or tablet.
How to set up the live gallery
Sign in to your event via Snaplet's website on the device you'll use to display the gallery.
Open the live gallery view from your event dashboard. You can start the slideshow straight in the browser.
Connect a computer or tablet to the TV/projector via HDMI cable or wireless casting (e.g. Chromecast, AirPlay).
Activate full screen in the browser so the photos fill the whole display without distractions.
Ensure a stable internet connection on the device showing the gallery. Without internet, the display can't update with new photos.
Internet requirements and stability
Snaplet runs online. That means both the guests uploading photos and the device showing the live gallery need an internet connection.
When guests upload via QR code or photo booth, the photos go to Snaplet's servers. The live gallery fetches new photos from there and displays them automatically.
With a weak or unstable internet connection, there can be a delay on uploads or gallery updates. With a stable connection, photos typically appear within seconds.
The live gallery updates automatically when new photos arrive. You don't have to do anything manually.
When does a live gallery make the most sense?
A live gallery suits events where guests are gathered in one room for an extended time, and where it makes sense to have a visible screen.
Wedding: Show photos from the ceremony and reception continuously during the party.
Company event: Let photos from the day appear live during dinner or the evening event.
Confirmation: Show guest photos on a screen during the party at home or at the venue.
Part of a unified solution
The live gallery works alongside the other features in Snaplet. You can combine it with QR upload, digital photo booths or both.
Every photo gathers in one private gallery, no matter how it was uploaded. That makes it easy to get an overview and sort through the photos after the event.
You can also choose to moderate the gallery, so only selected photos appear on the live screen while every photo remains available in your private gallery.
Frequently asked questions
Does the live gallery work without internet?
No. Snaplet needs an internet connection to fetch and display photos. Both guests and the device showing the gallery have to be online.
How quickly do new photos appear?
With a stable connection, new photos typically appear within seconds. With a weak connection there can be longer delays.
Can I use multiple screens?
Yes. You can open the live gallery on multiple devices simultaneously and show the same gallery on different screens around your event.
Can I pause the display?
Yes. You can stop and start the slideshow whenever you want, or click on individual photos to view them in detail.
What if nobody has uploaded yet?
The gallery is empty until the first photos come in. You can upload a few welcome photos in advance so the screen isn't blank.
Which device is best to use?
A laptop or tablet with a stable Wi-Fi connection works well. The computer should be plugged in to avoid running out of power during the event.
