Make place cards with a QR code

Type your guests' names and get print-ready place cards. Add a link and every card gets a QR code, so the guest can scan it while she is sitting there looking at her own name.

0 place cards

Leave it blank if you just want the names.

Why the QR code belongs on the place card

The place card is the one thing every single guest looks at, and she does it during the minutes she is sitting down with nothing to do. That is exactly where a QR code gets scanned.

A poster by the door gets walked past. A code at the bar is seen by the people queuing. The place card reaches everyone, once, while they wait for the starter.

Say what happens

Five words under the code is enough: “Scan and share your photos”. Without them the code sits untouched on the table all evening, however pretty the card is.

Need the code from us?

This tool puts a QR code on the cards from whatever link you give it. If you do not have a link yet, you can create a gallery with Snaplet: then you get a finished code your guests can upload photos through, with no app and nothing to sign up for.

Common questions about place cards

Do I need Snaplet to use the tool?

No. If you add no link you simply get place cards with names on them. If you want a QR code, the link can point anywhere, and it does not have to be a Snaplet gallery.

What paper should I use?

Ordinary card stock of 200-250 gsm stands up best. Print on A4 and cut along the edges. If the cards are to be folded, print on the top half and fold in the middle.

How big does the QR code need to be on a place card?

At least 2 x 2 cm. Smaller than that and phones struggle to find it, especially in dim light. This tool stays above that limit at both sizes.

Why is the code not being scanned?

Usually because it does not say what happens. People do not scan a code without knowing why. A few words under it is enough, which is why the field is filled in for you.

Can I make place cards for the whole table plan at once?

Yes. Paste in all the names, one per line, in the order they are seated. You can make up to 300 cards at a time, and you are told how many sheets that becomes.
